Project Synopsis
Background- Food waste is a problem in Singapore and the amount of food waste generated has increased by more than 40% over the past 10 years.
Problem- Many Singaporeans don’t practice smart shopping and end up with a lot of expired food that they don’t even remember purchasing.
The Greengood is a project initiative by The Food Bank Singapore to target food waste by creating a design solution to help Singaporeans track their food stock at home and the expiry dates. It offers incentives to those who participate in donating to food bank and reduces unnecessary food wastage.
